every hibachi place is different, but I love ginger dressing of all sorts and that is the typical topping.

GINGER ORIENTAL DRESSING

1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger

1/2 teaspoons minced garlic

2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce

2 tablespoons water

2 teaspoons orange juice

1 teaspoons white vinegar

Place garlic and vinegar in jar, bowl, whatever. Allow to sit 10 minutes. This takes the "edge" off the garlic and makes it less sharp.

Add remaining ingredients and shake or stir well.

Makes 1/4 cup

1/4 cup toasted sesame oil

2 tbs rice wine vinegar

2 tbs low sodium soy sauce

1/4 small onion

2 tbs fresh ginger root

1 half inch thick slice fresh lemon, rind and all

1 tbs catsup

Salt and pepper

Chop all ingredients in a food processor. Chill until ready to serve on salad. It is very good and very similar to what you get in the restaurants.
