Does hibachi sauce contain something that can cause GI distress?

My husband and I have eaten at two separate Japanese restaurants recently with the same results.



He loves the pink/orange sauce they serve with the food. He barely makes it back to the house before he spends a long time in the bathroom.



Is there something wierd in that sauce that makes people have upset tummies? What is in it anyway?Does hibachi sauce contain something that can cause GI distress?
It could be the oils - hibachi grills use a lot of it....
