I'm going too a Japanese food restaurant called mr hibachi, And I'm wondering what would be a good type of food too look for, I'm not a seafood person so I'd prefer to avoid that if possible.Good Japanese food at MR Hibachi?
A lot of Japanese food contains seafood. The best non-seafood dishes are Tonkatsu (deep fried pork cutlet), Teriyaki Chicken, Nikujyaga (meat %26amp; potatoes), Vegetarian Tempura and Karaage (Japanese fried chicken).Good Japanese food at MR Hibachi?
i'm not sure what they have there but as a westerner that lived in Japan and thus have introduced Japanese food to a lot of people i can tell you about a few good places to start.
okonomiyaki - is kind of like a vegi pancake which usually also has some meat of your choice in it, afterlall it translates as "as you like fried"
yakisoba - is a simple noodle dish with cabbage and usually ham and various other vegetables
katsudon - is crumbed pork with a sauce that i can only really describe as a mix of bbq sauce and soy sauce.
Curry - Japanese curries are usually very mild and sweet compared to what you would expect
ramen - is a noodle based dish that is in a broth, is generally a winter food.
sushi - is really actually a western concept they don't eat it anywhere near as much as you would think, but if its a traditional resutorant it will all be seafood so you should probably stay away from it.
i hope that helps you.
