What age did you start feeding your kids shellfish?

Things such as shrimp. Just curious because we went out with my brother and sister-in-law last night to a hibachi restaurant and they ordered their two year old shrimp. Does that seem kinda young or is that about right? What age did you start feeding your kids shellfish?
My pediatrician said around 3 years old for peanuts/shell fish. My daughters will be 3 in December and they tried peanut butter before 2 and shrimp right around in there. No allergies to either. they love crab cakes. What age did you start feeding your kids shellfish?
My son was 12 months when I gave him peanut butter %26amp; honey (not shellfish I know) He was 15 months when He tried bites of shrimp and crab. And 17 months I gave him one peanut.

Unless there is a family history of food alleergies, its really nothing to worry about.

PS

He is now 17months and LOVES shrimp!

I think that it seems that the longer a child stays away from those foods the more likely theyd be to become picky about them. What age did you start feeding your kids shellfish?
Around 9-12 months, IIRC. Unlike meat, seafood is pretty soft and easy to gum up.

Unless the child has allergies or a strong family history, there are no age restrictions on any food except honey and choking hazards once the baby is 6 months old. What age did you start feeding your kids shellfish?
6 months or so. Lobster is one of my favorite foods, and I've always given the kids tastes of what we're eating.
My kids had it well before age 2...and they love it.
