What is the type of place called in Japan where you cook at the table in front of you?

What is the name of the places where you cook Japanese food at your own table in front of you? NOT hibachi where a cook makes the food for you. The cook-it-yourself places. I ate at a place like this in Japan. The food we ate was thinly sliced beef. What is the type of place called in Japan where you cook at the table in front of you?
There are several places in Japan where you can cook at your table. By your description it could be Yakiniku, which is a Korean BBQ where you cook various cuts of meat in front of you and usually eat them by dipping them in a yakiniku sauce. Others include Shabu Shabu, where pieces of thinly sliced meat are placed or brushed in a hot pot or Okonomiyaki, where you can make your own savoury pancake. What is the type of place called in Japan where you cook at the table in front of you?
Shabu shabu. Yaki-tori or yaki-niku is usually grilled by the cook or chef, same as sukiyaki, unless the restaurant is designed to have you do it yourself.
Shabu shabu (Japanese hot pot).

If not, then it should be yakiniku (Japanese BBQ).What is the type of place called in Japan where you cook at the table in front of you?
That would be "yakiniku-ya." "ya" means restaurant or place of.
