That kind of restaurant is always going to be expensive because the chefs are highly trained, can only cover a few tables a night and the ingredients they cook are usually expensive.
A less expensive option is to go to a Korean Barbeque, a small, individual hibachi is still at your table, but YOU do the cooking for your group and honestly I find this kind of cuisine much more flavorful.
