What is the best Japanese restaurant in the San Mateo area?

I am looking for a place to have a birthday dinner with a group of about 6-8 people. I love places that cook in front of you (hibachi style) and don't care for sushi, although my friends do. So, I'm looking for a place that has both good cooked food and good sushi. What is the best Japanese restaurant in the San Mateo area?

Here are some of the Japanese restaurants that you can go to in the San Mateo county, you can try Tomokazu Japanese Cuisine located at 1101 Howard Ave. in Burlingame Ca 94010 (650 340-8766). You can also try Sakae Restaurant at 240 Park Rd. also in Burlingame,Ca 94010 (650 348-4064) and Isobune Burlingame at 1451 Burlingame Ave (650 344-84433). If you are looking only in San Mateo, there is one at San Mateo Ave and in El Camino. I can't remember the names but I know that they're still operating. Otherwise you can go to Benihana or Natori-check the yellow pages. You can also check out Ebisu at the SFO Airport or if you like to drive up to San Francisco, its located at 7th Ave. and Irving Ave.What is the best Japanese restaurant in the San Mateo area?
