Is it okay to be invited to a birthday dinner & sleepover and only stay for the dinner?

If you are invited to a Birthday Lunch/ sleepover, is it okay to just go to the lunch? The lunch is at a Hibachi Restaurant so the birthday person's family will be paying for the lunch....Is it okay to eat %26amp; then leave and not go to the sleepover? Is it okay to be invited to a birthday dinner %26amp; sleepover and only stay for the dinner?
Yes, but make sure you bring at least a small present for the guest of honor, just to smooth things over and show appreciation for the invitation and the meal.Is it okay to be invited to a birthday dinner %26amp; sleepover and only stay for the dinner?
I'd say it's not a problem especially if you have a good reason for not being able to go to the sleepover. I'm sure the birthday person would rather have you there for at least part of it.
Sure it is, but let the person know that you will not be able to stay for the sleepover. Take her gift to the party at the restaurant. Is it okay to be invited to a birthday dinner %26amp; sleepover and only stay for the dinner?
yes
if you have a good reason for not going to the sleepover, yes. maybe bring a small gift for the birthday girl/ flowers for the birthday person's mother. Is it okay to be invited to a birthday dinner %26amp; sleepover and only stay for the dinner?
Yes as long as you bring a gift and your friend knows a head of time that you want be staying.
it's okay
You need to talk to your host and see if it is a problem or not. You can't assume anything from the answers you get here. I see one saying she can't see anything wrong, well, she's not the birthday person or the person footing the bill. It is a simple question " I'd love to come, but do you mind if I leave at xx o'clock, I won't be able to sleep over". The answer should be yes, or no.
