What should my first drink be?

So my birthday is in one week. I will be turning 21. We are going to a hibachi restaurant, you know one of those japanese places where they cook the food right on your table and do tricks and stuff..anyways, I was wondering what would be a good choice for my first drink while of legal age. Any ideas?

PS-I HATE whiskey, so anything with that is out of the question. What should my first drink be?
I am turning 21 next week too!!!!!

(the 23rd to be exact) Nice question i am getting a lot of ideas of my drink even though the drinking age is 18 where i live and i had my first drink some years back! mY FIRST DRINK WAS A BEER AT 18 EVEN THOUGH I HAD BEER SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE BUT HEY STILL ENJOYED IT. Sorry i couldnt help

!!HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!What should my first drink be?
Long Island Iced Tea.

Can I come too?
Start on a GOOD beer, like Corona, then work your way up to Gin + Tonics and other such classy drinksWhat should my first drink be?
Since you're going to a Japanese restaurant, you should stay with the theme and get some hot sake. It's smooth and it doesn't have a very strong taste, so you'll probably like it no matter your tastes.
hibachi restaurant?

Definitely either sake or saporo. I would say sake as it is 13% alcohol and often served hot. Definitely more interesting than saying beer was your first drink. What should my first drink be?
hahahah 1st drink my azz!...Really? Look get sh!tfaced. Start with an AMF....hell buy a round of them for all! Just get it on film will ya?

ETA: hehehe Shell said a sugared rim
order the TI-KI bowl its has a little volcano in the center that they fill with rum a light on fire (very ceremonious %26amp; appropriate for the big event) that and the drink part itself that surrounds the volcano is full of fruit juices and not really strong liquor flavored .happy birthday 2-u
Those restaurants typically have iced, mixed drinks that come in cool, decorative glasses that you get to keep (the one I eat at has "the red dragon" and "the green dragon"). Order one of those for your first drink so you get a cool glass to take with you.

Then, if you want another drink, order something that goes with the food you're eating. Ask your chef/server for a suggestion, they can point you in the right direction.

EDIT: did anyone notice that Robbbers called Corona a good beer?
Gin and grapefruit juice or vodka and cranberry.
Schlitz.
Gin and Juice LOL....

Ummm...Sake is the BEST for Hibachi restaurants, love love love SAKE.
Oooooh free beer I will be there. Have a beer to start. Beer is always good. Its soo good Ive been drinking it since 6 am it is now 230pm.

Edit: Adam look at his avatar. Enuff Said.
Personally my favorites are Mai Tai's and Blue Hawaiians (those were 2 of my "first" drinks on my 21st) but it's hard to find a place on the Mainland that makes good ones....so I say go with a Cosmopolitan made with Chilled Grey Goose and a Sugar Rim! Soooo Good!
My favorite drink in the world is a Strawberry Passion Martini...delicious. That's what you should get.
be sure you get some plum wine for dessert it is really good, they always have it at hibachi restaurants.
A big mixture of everything.

See you there!
