Question about Japanese hibachi?

My boyfriend wants to go to a hibachi grill tomorrow night, but I'm a little nervous. I'm a very picky eater and not big on Asian food. I eat brocolli and beef stir fry, but that's it.

The place we are going has NY strip steak on the hibachi. How is it cooked? Do they put anything on it or just grill the meat? Does it come with anything else?

Thanks.Question about Japanese hibachi?
How exciting - why are you so nervous and worried about a meal? It's nice to eat something that's not just the same ol' thing. It's just food and you'll probably like some and not some. Food's for fun and your mamas not there to judge your manners and if you don't finish everything. Take a chance - live a little!

It might be a Korean restaurant where you might cook it yourself and there may be many little plates pickles, sauces and garnishes on the table. There will probably be many things that'll come with it - not many restaurants just serve meat on a plate. Some may be a little spicy and if you don't like spice eat just a little teeny bit and smile it's just one meal!

And so what if your not familiar with it? You're not a baby anymore. I feel sorry for picky eaters because they don't have as much to enjoy!Question about Japanese hibachi?
Hibachi cooking is really just grilled and stir fry. You'll be fine. If you like, check out their menu online before you go.

Japanese food is always a nice choice because you don't have to eat complicated things like sashimi or sushi if you don't like it. They have tons of bento box items, grilled chicken, beef pork and some fried breaded chicken.Question about Japanese hibachi?
Fresh grilled veggies and meat with a mild sauce- what's not to like? I wish I could come with you!
